More Than 75 Therapists Felicitated at Pune Ceremony for
Their Dedicated Service to Warkaris
Pune, August 24, 2026: A major healthcare initiative
aimed at supporting pilgrims during the Ashadhi Wari has achieved a notable
milestone with “Maha Arogya Wari 2026,” organized by Zep Multimedia Alternative
Medicine Institute under the leadership and concept of Mr. Sanjay Genu Kadu,
being recognized as a World Record by the London Book of World Records.
The achievement was commemorated through a World Record
Certificate Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony held on August 24, 2026, at
the Maratha Chambers of Commerce in Pune. The event brought together
therapists, dignitaries, organizers and representatives associated with the
initiative to acknowledge the collective efforts behind the large-scale
healthcare campaign.
Held from July 7 to July 26, 2026, during the Ashadhi Wari
period, Maha Arogya Wari 2026 brought together more than 250 trained therapists
from different parts of Maharashtra. The participating therapists offered
pain-relief and wellness services to Warkaris at multiple locations along the
Wari route as well as in Pandharpur.
The initiative was conducted with the guiding motto, “No
Medicine • No Pills • Natural Pain-Relief Therapy,” emphasizing a
non-pharmaceutical approach to providing support to pilgrims during one of
Maharashtra’s largest annual religious journeys.
According to the organizers, a total of 120,354 Warkaris
received pain-relief treatment during the campaign. The scale of participation
and the extensive service provided across multiple locations formed a central
part of the initiative’s recognition by the London Book of World Records.
The World Record recognition also became an occasion to
acknowledge the individuals who contributed directly to the campaign. During
the Pune ceremony, more than 75 therapists who demonstrated outstanding
performance and commitment during Maha Arogya Wari 2026 were individually
felicitated. They received certificates and mementos in recognition of their
contribution.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests,
including Mr. Mahesh Thorave, Director, MIT; Dr. Priya, Founder Director,
Metowe Mission; Mr. Anand Yadav, Treasurer, India Society for Study
Incorporation; Dr. Arvind Sakunde, International President, International Human
Rights Ambassador Organization; HBP Chandrakant More; and Mr. Sanjay Genu Kadu,
Director, Zep Multimedia and National President, Paramparik Vaidya Association.
Other distinguished personalities and supporters of the initiative were also
present.
The felicitation ceremony highlighted the importance of the
therapists’ role in delivering services to thousands of pilgrims. Guests
appreciated their dedication, discipline and willingness to contribute their
time and expertise during the Wari. The recognition also acknowledged the
collective effort of the organizers, therapists and volunteers involved in
executing the initiative across the Wari route.
Maha Arogya Wari 2026 represents an effort to combine
healthcare-oriented service with community participation during the Ashadhi
Wari. With thousands of pilgrims travelling long distances on foot, access to
timely pain-relief and wellness support can become particularly important.
Through the participation of trained therapists, the initiative sought to
provide assistance at locations where Warkaris could benefit from such
services.
Beyond the numbers associated with the campaign, the
initiative has been positioned by its organizers as an example of service and
social responsibility. The World Record recognition has added another dimension
to the campaign, bringing attention to the scale of participation and the
coordinated efforts involved in providing healthcare support during the
pilgrimage.

With its large volunteer network, extensive reach and focus
on supporting Warkaris, Maha Arogya Wari 2026 has marked a significant chapter
in the healthcare initiatives associated with the Ashadhi Wari. The recognition
ceremony in Pune provided an opportunity not only to celebrate the World Record
but also to honour the therapists whose collective service formed the
foundation of the initiative.
As the campaign concludes its 2026 chapter with
international record recognition, the organizers and participating therapists
have highlighted the broader value of community-driven healthcare service and
the role of collective action in supporting people during large public and
cultural gatherings.
